CS Project now has the ability to open programmes created in Microsoft® Project. The files must be in .MPP or .MPX format and created in Microsoft® Project version 2000 or later. (Note that this is a feature only found in the Planning and Professional versions of CS Project)
All of the important data held in the original Microsoft® Project file will be converted into CS Project, allowing the user to save the programme back as a standard CS Project .CSP file.
Simply click the file icon > Open Project > Microsoft Project
The file type should then be in the correct Microsoft Project (.mpp .mpx) format.
