Note: Some options and features may vary from the article below based on your CS Project package.

CS Project is designed to take full advantage of a large format colour plotter but is equally able to produce a quality presentation on any MS Windows compatible printer.

The print options can accessed by going to the Application Menu in the top left > Print or Ctrl+P which will display the ‘Print Bar Chart’ window as shown below, where various printing options can be set.

Following simple rules, a project of any size can fit most sizes of paper.

1. Select suitable printer on the Print Tab

2. You can hide Activity Table fields you don’t need by selecting Visible Columns

3. Choose ‘Multi-Page’ or ‘Force-to-Pages’ option from the Page Tab

4. When using ‘Force-to-Pages’ you may end up trying to print too much to one page, so…

a) check the compression (e.g. Size 100%)

b) if the % is less than 60%, check the Date Bar Scale....

to help reduce the overall width of the page, click on the button

Also if the project is spread over many weeks, you should change the grid line period count to every 7 days or 1 week

c) and finally, once you are ready to print with a compression ratio of greater than 60% you may wish for the project activities to fill the whole page, if so, simply click the Fit to Rows button
